      Pegasus Opera 3 has been built on the solid, award winning, foundations of Pegasus Opera II to deliver a power suite of business solutions which offer a huge range of benefits across your whole company.

      As a Pegasus Opera 3 user you will be able to improve the view you have of all of your business activities and build up a picture of exactly what is happening in every department. This will empower you to make better decisions and produce reports that give you invaluable insight on everything from costs to profit.

      Flexibility is also high on the list of benefits and with Pegasus Opera 3 you can submit your VAT 100 returns online to HMRC and the open period account functionality allows you to post transactions into any period from the last, or the next, 3 years.

        The Opera 3 Family
          • Open Period Accounting
          • Nominal Ledger periods can all remain open in the previous, current and up to the next three financial years, so you can post transactions to any of those periods from any Opera 3 application that posts to the Nominal Ledger. In addition, Opera 3 now allows you to rectify mis-posted entries in the Nominal journals.
          • Improved User Interface
          • You'll find navigating around Opera 3 easy with the improved user interface delivering a fresh, modern look and feel. We've introduced a new ribbon bar with meaningful icons to help make your work life easier. Plus, the restructured User Assistance can be accessed on all forms, so the information is at your fingertips, as and when you need it.
          • Scheduler
          • Run some of your Opera 3 tasks at a time that suits you: schedule tasks to process outside the normal working day, minimising disruption. There are numerous tasks you can schedule, including backing up your Opera 3 data, and running Period Ends in the Nominal, Purchase and Sales Ledgers.
          • Landed Costs
          • The Landed costs functionality allows you to define landed cost elements (freight costs, insurance, and possibly other costs such as customs duties) and assign them to your stock items. If a stock item is subject to landed costs then its purchase price and the landed cost are used to record the total cost of that receipt when it is posted.
          • Error correction
          • No matter what you do, sometimes transactions are entered incorrectly and these errors will affect you final accounts. With Opera 3 you can rectify a Nominal Journal entry by undoing and changing the posting date, Nominal account and other details. All of the corrections that are made are traceable so all changes are recorded.
          • Improved Reporting
          • In Opera 3 you can run multiple reports at the same time. Reports can stay open while you navigate to other areas of the system. You can minimise one and open another or even tile reports on screen so you can compare them side by side. And the new search facility creates a list of bookmarks that link to the relevant results of your search. Reports can now be output directly to MS Excel®, for further data manipulation. There are also additional charting controls built into Opera 3 reporting tools such as Views. They make the display of information much easier to interpret and enable colour modification, printing and copying to the clipboard, for pasting into MS Word® or Excel®.
          • VAT 100 Online Filing
          • HMRC is phasing out paper VAT Returns from 1 April 2010. Take the strain out of online filing and submit your VAT Return online quickly and easily direct from Opera 3. There's less room for error and you’ll have peace of mind.
          • Document Management Desktop
          • The Document Management Desktop application allows everyone in your office to use Document Management – even if they are not an Opera 3 user. The Document Management Desktop offers simple capture and retrieval of documents ensuring that your documents are captured wherever necessary without spending money on additional Opera 3 users.
          • Notification Services
          • Opera 3 Notification Services you can send out distribute messages to users asking them to log out as well as being able to force an automatic shutdown of some or all Opera 3 users. You can also set a lockout period during restricts logins.
          • Improved User Assistance
          • Opera 3 Help has been restructured and significantly enhanced. It now includes a What’s New section and a How To section. Each form has a Help button that opens the Help topic relevant to that form. Most Help topics include a Related Topics Help button.
          • Enhanced Security
          • With password expiry, the potential for abuse of compromised passwords is limited to a specific period of time. Opera 3 now removes the burden of identity management from employees and management, keeping sensitive corporate data safer.
          • Opera 3 Info Centre
          • A brand new website designed just for you, the Opera 3 user. This is a resource centre for your Opera 3 solution, with everything you need to know at your fingertips.
          • Creditor reporting
          • With Retrospective Aged Debtors and Creditors reporting you can use your historical data to re-run your Debtors and Creditors reports from a specific date in the past. This allows you to run an Aged Debtors report as at the end of last month which shows the outstanding debt as from your selected date - thish is particularly useful for auditing purposes at period-end or year-end.
          • Stocktake
          • The Stocktake application in Pegasus Opera 3 extracts product information so that stock items can be allocated to worksheets for a manual count. Once the worksheets are complete, you can run a cross-check and make corrections and adjustments which are fed back into Opera 3 to update stock levels.
